Closing Date: July 9, 2024Reporting to the General Supervisor, Maintenance, the Supervisor, Maintenance Water Operations is responsible for ensuring the safe and quality execution of planned and scheduled maintenance activities in Water Quality Management (WQM) operations to meet plant availability, reliability, and integrity objectives in efficient, and cost-effective manner.To be successful, we require someone with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, who can coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives.   • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a safe work environment through compliance with Teck\'s Health & Safety Program and the BC Mines Act
  • Lead and hold employees accountable in achieving maintenance goals and enhance contractor work performance and productivity through coaching and feedback
  • Manage prompt issuance and compliance of Permit To Work system in line with Teck safety policy Ensure report of completed Preventive and Corrective tasks are captured in Teck Computerized Maintenance Management System for proper documentation of maintenance histories
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and safety investigations
  • Advise the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action
  • Oversee quality of routine maintenance activities and repair of equipment to improve availability and reliability for production
  • Implement daily and weekly work schedules to ensure work is completed on time and on budget through usage of Short Interval Controls
  • Collect and analyze work delay codes to identify challenges to timely completion of scheduled jobs and work with available resources to reduce delays
  • Assist with the development of the 13-week schedule and the long-range plan by providing feedback to the Maintenance Planner
  • Ensure preventative maintenance compliance and that repair history is accurately documented
  • Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budgeted guidelines
  • Work with the General Supervisor to determine need for overtime work and contractors based on maintenance load as well as supervision of contractors
  • Use Key Performance Indicators such as PM compliance, schedule compliance and break in work as tools to improve maintenance execution
Qualifications:
  • Trade certification, technical diploma, or degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years post-graduation experience 3 of which should have been spent in facility maintenance roles in reputable organizations preferably in Mining or Process Plant
  • CMRP or MMP designation is an asset
  • Experience supervising or leading a team
  • Strong digital literacy and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite\xc2\xae
