Your Contribution



Our Madawaska Division is seeking talent to fill a Supervisor position.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Operations, the Supervisor is a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and technical abilities. The position holds shared responsibility for the daily operations and maintenance of assigned area, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining quality & safety standards. This position will be based in Madawaska at our Murray Brothers Lumber Company Division.

Compensation

- Your compensation will be negotiated during the interview process and is dependent upon candidate experience and qualifications. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Life Ballance

- Monday-Thursday: 6am to 3:30pm / Friday 6am-2:30pm

Responsibilities



Plan, organize, and direct operations and relevant staff to meet operating targets Collaborate with production teams to ensure product feasibility and quality standards Assist with the develop and implementation of plans for assigned area, aligning with the company's overall business objectives. Uphold and enforce safety priorities and best practices at all times Assist with the management of operations in a manner that maximizes efficiency, production, quality and profitability Assist with quality control processes to support high product standards Complete administrative duties as assigned to ensure sound planning, smooth operations, effective maintenance, and compliance with all federal and provincial legislation and laws Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees Maintain positive relationships with all employees and individuals, related to the business

Skills & Qualifications



The following criteria are the minimum qualifications required for this position. Training in some or all of the following fields:



High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in sawmill & value added operations, with a focus on softwood Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the sawmill industry Sound communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in some or all of the following fields:



5 years, or more, in a supervisory role 8 years, or more, in the softwood sawmill industry

Demonstrates a high degree of safety consciousness: awareness of hazards and potential hazards and is diligent about adherence to health and safety procedures and practices Positive attitude and strong work ethic including the ability to recognize and react to urgent situations Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Strong communication both written and verbal Flexibility to work overtime as required Valid driver's license Takes pride in their attendance record Self-starter with the ability to identify priorities Lift up to 50lbs
