Position Description:



In accordance with legislation, policies, directives and funding guidelines, the Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to staff team(s) through coaching and mentoring to achieve program outcomes. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, decision making skills and initiative to ensure Community Living London's strategic and operational goals are implemented.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:



EDUCATION:

University Degree or Community College Diploma in relevant discipline or approved equivalent. Please note: Candidates are required to submit proof of education with their application.*

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Current First Aid, Pharmacology, CPR, NVCI, CPI, Musculoskeletal Disorder Prevention and WHMIS Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Valid driver's license, use of own vehicle and the maintenance of an acceptable driving record. Must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and travel as required
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 4 years working experience in Social Services sector. Experience in working with people with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with supports and services in a residential setting, as well as in Supported Independent Living. Experience in supporting people with a trauma informed lens. Experience working in collaboration, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders. Experience in a unionized work environment and familiarity with collective agreement. Familiarity with Quality Assurance Measures, Personal Outcome Measures and MCSS Compliance requirements. Commitment to individualized approaches to service delivery and accountability.
ABILITY, SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrated leadership qualities and management skills to positively motivate employees. Demonstrated ability to advocate on behalf of people. Ability to effectively manage program delivery as per CLL's vision, Mission and Strategic plan. Strong knowledge of CLL policies and procedures and the ability to apply them to program delivery. Ability to manage financial and human resources. Ability to complete annual budgets, review financial reports and ensure financial expectations are met. Ability to promote a culture of Trust and Innovation. Ability to leverage resources and utilize collaborative opportunities to create innovative residential options for people. Strong problem identification and creative problem solving/resolution skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong computer skills; proficient in working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and mediate differences Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong time management skills. Knowledge of Supervisory responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
