About this opportunity:
As the supervisor in the Lloydminster Terminal, the successful candidate will engage with other supervisors in the field operations, maintenance, and engineering. The primary focus will be to provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports and to ensure the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations throughout the area of responsibility. The candidate will report to the Operations Field Superintendent and supervise 8-10 terminal operations personnel.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain the safe operation of the facility including facility inspections and incident management and ensure all internal and regulatory reporting occurs in a timely manner.

  • Provide input into yearly operating and capital budgets and reviewing the operating cost summary monthly, identifying issues.

  • Identify opportunities for operating/capital cost reductions, optimizations, etc. and provide mentorship and support for all team members to do the same.

  • Participate in the development of the scope, design reviews, and Hazard Operability Analysis\xe2\x80\x99 (HAZOP) for capital and maintenance projects.

  • Work directly with engineering and maintenance to develop major maintenance execution strategies, support the preparation of or prepare bid packages and is involved in the review and selection of contractors as appropriate.

  • Participate in risk assessments and studies and work with collaborators to ensure that Major Accident Hazards (MAH) are controlled to the As Low as In Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) standard.


Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Proven leadership experience and minimum 10 years in Midstream operations.

  • Technical Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with the implementation of and compliance to regulations, standards, and procedures

  • Familiarity with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety act, regulations, and codes.
