About the Project

The Haven of Rest is developing a Christ-centered recovery and transition centre for men facing addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. While our residential facility is under development, we are launching a digital outreach project to serve the community now.

The

Hope & Healing Digital Outreach Initiative

will build Newfoundland & Labrador's first faith-based digital hub for addiction recovery support, mental wellness education, and storytelling that fuels hope.

We are hiring a small team to help us build, design, and launch this digital platform.

Positions Hiring Under JCP1. JCP Project Supervisor

Leads team workflow, provides mentorship, and ensures deliverables are met.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support JCP digital team members Coordinate weekly workflow, goals, and production timelines Review content for quality, clarity, and mission alignment Liaise with Board of Directors and prepare progress updates Onboard participants and provide skill support

Ideal Candidate

Strong organizational and leadership ability Experience in digital media, project coordination, or administration Ability to mentor others and manage multiple tasks at once

2. Digital Media & Outreach Support Staff (2-3 positions)

Hands-on roles supporting digital hub development & outreach.

Duties May Include

Website content creation & management Writing devotionals, recovery content, and resource guides Video production & testimonial recording/editing Social media and email campaign support Researching local services, recovery tools, and educational material Graphic design, document formatting, and digital storytelling

Ideal Candidate

Basic computer/digital literacy (training provided) Creative thinker with interest in writing, media, or recovery advocacy Ability to work well in a team and take direction Experience in web tools/design--an asset, not required

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 50 weeks

Pay: $16.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Deer Lake, NL
