Job Description

KIDS Co-op is recruiting for a Supervisor role starting in late August 2026. Training will begin in April, with sessions in both the office and program areas to ensure the successful candidate becomes familiar with our team, programs, and responsibilities.

Starting Salary:

$26.25 + WEG ($2.00) + Wage Force Compensation (For RECE'S $1.00)

Company matched RRSP contributions up to 4% of regular pay

Two working weeks of paid sick time

Contract Position:

Contracts are signed every August for renegotiations but this is a reoccurring contract position.

Qualifications:

RECEwith a minimum of two years of full time experience in a childcare setting. First Aid & CPR C Qualified, Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Food Handlers Qualification, Experienced with Excel & QuickBooks

Hours

: KIDS Co-op follows the BWDSB calendar with a exception of PD Days meaning we are closed for all STAT holidays, two weeks for winter break, one week for March Break & closed for summer break ( July-August). The option of opening for a summer camp is possible if enough staff are available. Staff returns the last week In August for prep week.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15am-4:30pm
Tuesday, Thursday 8:15am-12:15pm these afternoons are available to remain for office work if needed. Board Meetings (virtually)- First Monday of each month 7:30pm-8:30pm

Position Description :



Implements licensing regulations for the childcare center

Ensures rooms, snack & play areas are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition

Maintains appropriate staff level to accommodate children enrolled in the program in accordance with Ministry regulations

Provides information to parents concerning their children's development, abilities and areas of concern

Completes enrollment & ensures reporting procedures for the Childcare centre's attendance and fiscal information is accurate

Conducts parent meetings

Monitors teachers to ensure quality of teaching methods and support for program goals are met

Gains certification as a coach in the Positive Early Childhood Education Program (PECE) & oversees the implementation of PECE within the programs

Advises parents on program services we offer through our partnership with Bruce County Child Services

Reports incidents of suspected child abuse to proper authorities

Maintains & establishes positive relationships with all staff members to ensure they are supported by the Supervisor

Serves as the primary liaison for all external communications and interactions outside the center

Works in programs as a teacher on an as needed basis

Completes all hiring, over sees training & signs off on scheduling for staff

Completes payroll

Conducts team meetings

Completes annual staff evaluations

Attends Operators meetings

Completes all paperwork to be submitted to the County

Holds signing authority on behalf of the Co-op

Completes all office work required to run a licensed childcare
