As a Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
You will also be responsible for the installation, repairs, and maintenance of the plumbing systems in commercial and multi-family residential projects.

This role involves managing field staff, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities


Supervise and support ?eld sta?, ensuring e?cient allocation of resources and tools.
Provide clear instructions, directions, and performance feedback to ?eld teams.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and professionalism on all job sites.
Enforce adherence to company safety policies, industry standards, and regulatory
requirements.
Address employee conflicts and performance issues promptly and in accordance with
company and industry best practices.
Install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Ensure all installations comply with safety and code regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure the project schedule is met.
Conduct subtrade meetings and client meetings as required to foster positive client
relationships leading to successful project outcomes and future work opportunities.
Plan, schedule, and oversee activities to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
Monitor work progress and resolve on-site challenges promptly.
Ensure proper documentation of safety practices and incidents.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and client expectations.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, workforce hours, and equipment usage.
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring
satisfaction.
Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding project status and ?eld
operations.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications


Possession of a Valid Journeyperson Plumber/Gas Fitter certification
(Red Seal certification required)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supervision within the mechanical and plumbing
industries.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, including installation practices,
safety regulations, and local building codes.
Proven ability to manage teams and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced
environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to e?ectvely
communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple
priorities and make sound decisions.
Pro?ciency in MS O?ce (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software such as time
management or scheduling software
Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification
Current Standard First Aid certificate
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to visualize a finished product from documentation
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

Work Environment


This role is primarily conducted at construction or renovation sites, which may include both commercial and multifamily locations.

Frequent travel to job sites within Calgary and the surrounding area is required.
Some time may be spent in an o?ce or vehicle completing administrative duties such as reporting,scheduling, or communicating with stakeholders.
