Child Care Supervisor - Positive Minds Daycare Hamilton



Positive Minds Daycare Hamilton is seeking an experienced and confident Child Care Supervisor to join our team.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, RECE in good standing, and strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).

with professionalism. They must demonstrate strong leadership skills, support staff effectively, and maintain a safe, high-quality environment for children and families.

Supervisor Duties



Oversee

daily operations

to ensure full compliance with CCEYA Support educators in planning and implementing high-quality programming Ensure all classrooms maintain proper

ratios, safety standards, and active supervision

Step into classrooms when ratios are low or when additional support is required

Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to staff Manage and resolve

challenging situations

involving children, staff, or families Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, incident reports, and daily logs Communicate with families professionally and address concerns promptly Assist with orientation, onboarding, and ongoing support for new educators

Collaborate with management during Ministry inspections and complete follow-up corrections through CCLS

Support the centre's compliance with Public Health and Fire Safety standards Help create staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage throughout the day Attend meetings and contribute to ongoing program growth and improvements Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children and families

Key Qualifications



Minimum

2 years experience

as a Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor

RECE in good standing

with the College of ECE Strong knowledge of

CCEYA

, Public Health guidelines, and licensing requirements Ability to

manage challenging situations

calmly and professionally Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to mentor and guide educators in day-to-day operations Solid understanding of child development and positive guidance Experience with Ministry inspections, incident reports, and documentation

Computer skills required

(email, digital documentation, Microsoft Office)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
