What You Will Do

Reporting to the Operational Manager, the role of the Supervisor is focused on overseeing the day-to-day delivery of services to support the children and youth in our care. In this role your responsibilities will include:

Provide ongoing support, coaching and supervision of team members. Setting an optimal example for staff and as a representative of BBI by modelling the values and actions that enable exceptional support. Engaging in the client culture and respecting the client culture when working for BBI. Ensuring employees at the assigned location produce clear, accurate and adequate records. Building healthy rapport with staff, clients and all contacts involved with the client needs. Ensuring the clients needs are met (socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically) through effectively directing and leading staff. Effectively resolving conflicts or escalations, providing coaching and establishing solutions. Administering timecard approvals, staff vacation requests, and prepare client proposals for big ticket items (e.g., summer vacations). Ensuring the client and their home is engaging in and respecting aspects of their culture. Ensuring documentation and reports are completed and audited in a professional and timely manner (e.g., incident reports, maintenance checklists, staff mileage, monthly staff meetings). Ensuring the cleanliness of the home is maintained, delegating tasks to employees. Ensuring open shifts are covered and fulfilling shift coverage gaps, attending court and providing affidavits if required.

Experience in the supervision and administration of staff in a social service environment Experience in Nursing, Social Services, Home care, Educational Assistant positions, Early Childhood Education, Support Worker, Personal care aid, Human services support Certification in First Aid/CPR Mental Health First Aid NVCI/Mandt ASIST/ASK Valid driver's license/Driver's Abstract/Criminal Record Check/Social Development Check/1- million liability required Fluency in English is required (oral/written) Ability to work with/around pets i.e., cats and dogs is required. Schedule flexibility - days, evenings, overnight, weekends
