The Supervisor - Second Class Operating Engineer (Facilities Operations) is responsible for ensuring all operation and related work is carried out in compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and legislation. The role provides managing and supervision of skilled and semi-skilled staff within the Facility Operations, as well as oversight of external service contractors.
This position manages the maintenance and operation of major base-building systems, including boilers, chillers, water treatment, HVAC, medical gas, and life and fire safety systems-on a 24/7 basis. The Supervisor - Second Class Operating Engineer also ensures the safe and compliant operation of the boiler plant in accordance with TSSA requirements.
Key responsibilities include supporting staff to maintain a productive work environment, performing administrative functions, and completing other duties assigned or requested by Manager Facilities, that are consistent with the job classification.
