Position Title:

Supervisor, Facilities and Buildings


Reporting to:

Director, Engineering


Main Responsibilities:




Ensure maintenance services for the site, buildings, fire protection systems, access control and intrusion protection equipment, premises, and furniture


Supervise activities of the facilities and buildings maintenance team (objectives, development, performance)


Ensure compliance with applicable quality, hygiene, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations by team members


Ensure drafting of regulatory documentation (work permits, hot work permits, change requests, etc.) and ensure their implementation


Lead regular meetings with the team for managing and prioritizing requests


Write procedures/instructions for facilities and buildings. Ensure their implementation and compliance with federal, provincial, municipal, and corporate regulations


Develop and manage the facilities and buildings budget (operating and capital expenditures)


Provide support services for special activities (meetings, rearrangements, etc.)


Identify, select, and qualify suppliers of goods and services related to facilities and buildings:


Snow removal and landscaping services Housekeeping services Uniform services Pest control services Fire protection equipment support services Access control and intrusion protection equipment support services
Supervise the performance and compliance of goods and services suppliers


Maintain good relationships with service providers


Implement and maintain a continuous improvement approach


Propose maintenance and security modification/improvement projects


Optimize maintenance costs (preventive, corrective, spare parts management, etc.)


Establish performance monitoring indicators for team activities


Communicate regularly on the status of work orders, intervention reports, activity reports, and projects under their responsibility


Contribute to the development of the PASS in their area and ensure the implementation of actions under their responsibility


Provide guidance and expertise in response to requests related to their field


Participate in and respond for their area during corporate, client, regulatory authority, and insurance audits


Support the Engineering Director in the implementation of site security and access management


Ensure regulatory monitoring applicable to their field of expertise


Required Education:




University degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, technical DEC with demonstrated experience, or a relevant combination of experience/training


Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities and buildings maintenance management in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or equivalent
