What You'll Do

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Case Managers and Case Aides handling long-term, severe, and complex disability claims.
  • Review, approve, and ensure quality of claim decisions, payments, and medical management plans.
  • Provide guidance on legislative, policy, and procedural interpretation.
  • Manage escalations and serve as a subject-matter expert in disability case management.
  • Maintain a small portfolio (10-15 complex cases) to stay current with operational realities.
  • Monitor workloads, performance, and quality metrics to ensure consistent service standards.
  • Support the Manager with strategic initiatives, reporting, and continuous improvement projects.
About You
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in disability case management, workers' compensation, or insurance.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or coaching role.
  • Strong understanding of return-to-work, rehabilitation, and disability legislation.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with excellent judgment and empathy.
  • Comfortable working in a structured, policy-driven environment with a high degree of accountability.
  • Post-secondary education in Health Sciences, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
