The Supervisor, Compliance & Enforcement is an experienced Commission representative, supervising the activities of a team of compliance and enforcement staff responsible for monitoring a growing array of regional oil and gas initiatives, risk-assessing and managing high-risk activities to mitigate health and environmental impacts. The incumbent provides direct leadership to a team of operations officers in the implementation of the Branch\xe2\x80\x99s compliance & enforcement program and associated targets as set out in the Commission\xe2\x80\x99s annual business plan. Reporting to the Executive Director, Compliance & Enforcement, this position is expected to establish and maintain ongoing communication regarding events, activities, and target achievements. Working with other compliance and enforcement agencies and representatives, the position aims to ensure province-wide compliance and enforcement of oil and gas sector operations. Key to the position\xe2\x80\x99s success is risk-assessing the implementation of new compliance schemes and self-inspection areas as well as investigating new industry operating techniques and technologies to determine high-risk activities and those practices most likely to evoke non-compliance amongst industry that pose unique health, safety and environmental impacts. This position must implement compliance & enforcement programs, plan investigations and conduct prosecutions in order to meet growing public concerns. Annual Salary: $79,740.99 - $91,092.62 An additional 10% Job Family Market Multiplier will be added to the posted salary. An additional 3% location allowance is provided to employees in northern locations.
