The primary responsibility of the Supervisor Claims is to manage a team who is responsible for processing Over, Short and Damage (OS&D) incidents, carrier claims and pallet control. The scope of responsibility is North America and shipments leaving North America. This will include people development, implementation and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics, cost analysis, identifying savings opportunities and process improvements.

The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, creative and driven. You must possess people management capability, business insight, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to work independently within broad guidelines, keep your team motivated and be willing to accept changing responsibilities related to Logistics. This role can be located in Florenceville, Oakbrook or Toronto,

How Youll Add Value:

• Lead a team responsible for pallet control and North American OS&D/carrier claims
• Identify, plan and monitor team member development
• Represent team to other Departments/service partners on issue resolution
• Develop and enforce policies/procedures for pallet control and OS&D claims processing
• Assist team with day to day workload
• Approve pallet invoices and monitor pallet spend
• Ensure carrier claims are acted upon to recover cost to McCain
• Service and KPI tracking and KPI development for team
• Drive continuous improvement
• Assist Manager in developing strategy for teams future responsibilities

About You:

• Ideal candidate will have Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems or Engineering
• Two years Supply Chain experience, familiar with logistics, customer service, transportation and warehouse concepts
• Two years experience in managing people
• Positive Can do attitude and strong listening skills.
• Thorough, detail oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy
• Results focused. Bias towards action and ability to act decisively
• Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Tact and diplomacy - ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors - ability to build strong relationships
• Self-motivated with leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow
• Excellent problem solving, organization and planning skills
• Understanding and exposure to SAP would be a benefit
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of database management software would be beneficial
