We are looking for a Permanent Full-time, Supervisor, Career Development Support Counsellor based out of our Head office location. This position is hybrid-remote.

Key Job Functions

Oversees and audits employee work with respect to recordkeeping as well as accuracy of client files and documentation ensuring zero-error rate. Ensures that employees are suitably trained in line with training plans provided. Identifies areas of risk, recommends remedial action, and executes them to ensure a sufficient resolution. Effectively maintains a thorough understanding of each branch function within the region, the ability to act as a backup to any role, if needed and resolves any problems impacting the branch so, the program is delivered as per Ministry standards. Achieves all daily, weekly, and monthly branch targets by supporting, auditing and reporting on the fulfillment of each staff member's daily, weekly and monthly individual targets. Supports the branch staff in ensuring targets in assigned programs are met in key target areas as outlined in the MLTSD contract: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our services, eligibility of programs that we administer through Employment Ontario, and how we can support the individual needs of job seekers. Execute an individualized career development and support plan with each client through engagement, mentoring, advocacy, ongoing skill enhancement, and life stabilization support to clients and employers. Keeps current with prevailing labor market conditions as well as new developments within local and regional labor markets. Coordinate with the client to determine the need and use Jobseeker Financial Supports relating to skills development opportunities (i.e., assessments, certification charges, training costs, emergency life stabilization supports, etc.) Effective and timely case management of each client's Career Development & Support plan, documenting progress with up-to-date plan items and real-time case notes. Establishing and monitoring job functions and performance expectations of direct reports, improving employee abilities through coaching and feedback Other duties pertaining to the position, as required.
