Job Summary
As a Supervisor for our Bioanalytical & Analytical Chemistry group in Laval, you will be responsible for the management of technical staff, services, and standards, qualify and cost-effectiveness of all relevant activities. Your contribution will ensure maximum efficiency of the team and help resolve more challenging issues.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Coach, train and support employees to ensure maximum efficiency of teams and resolve more challenging issues;
• Schedule work of departmental staff to maximize efficiency and productivity;
• Oversee the training process of all staff;
• Provide performance appraisal and development opportunities for staff members.

Key Elements
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or any related scientific field;
• Minimum of 2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a management role;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Good listener and strategic vision;
• Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory. However, the level of English can be intermediate to advanced.

Role Specific Information:

• Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
• Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station
• Annual bonus based on performance;
• Schedule: Daytime Monday to Friday;
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
