ITL Testing - A Division of Metalcare Group, is looking for a Professional Engineer to oversee our Construction Materials Testing Operation.

Supervising Engineer Requirements

Licensed to practice Engineering in BC, with specific expertise in concrete, soils, aggregate and asphalt materials testing.

Must have 5 years professional experience in the field of which the business operates (Civil Engineering)

Ensure the laboratory meets the requirements of CSA 283.24

Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of materials testing to assess the validity of test results and identify potential sources of error and bias

Can provide qualifications of academic and professional experience

Have a working knowledge of the use of equipment and procedures for each test the laboratory is certified to undertake within the laboratory and the field.

Supervising Engineer Ongoing Duties

(Listed below but not limited to)

Manage and maintain company QMS systems

Oversee usage and calibration of equipment

Oversee proper performance or test procedures as carried out by laboratory personal

Comply and communicate with accrediting body

Be available for consultation on a full-time basis, at minimum visit the lab once every two months

Review sign and retain intra laboratory proficiency data weekly

Ensure documentation and test results for accuracy and completion on an ongoing basis

Be available for Materials Consulting and documentation review on a scheduled basis

Remuneration to be set as per requirements and experience
