Job Summary
The Instructor Therapist works directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental needs, implementing individualized ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA. This role includes delivering direct 1:1 therapy in home, school, and centre settings, collecting data, and collaborating with the clinical team.
Duties
Provide 1:1 therapy in home, school, and centre settings
Implement individualized ABA treatment programs designed by a BCBA
Collect accurate, real-time data on skill development and behavior
Assist in behavior reduction strategies and reinforcement procedures
Maintain professionalism and build positive rapport with clients and families
Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
Follow all safety protocols and ethical guidelines
Qualifications
Required:
Post-secondary education
in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Child & Youth Care, Education, or a related field
Experience working with children (e.g., education, therapy, childcare, tutoring)
Ability to work independently and follow clinical direction
Ability to lift/assist children as needed and engage in active play
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
(required due to travel between service locations)
Preferred:
Experience in ABA, special education, or behaviour intervention
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain
Flexibility to travel between locations during the day

Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and protocols

Ability to take direction and integrate feedback
