Position Overview
A private family is seeking a dependable, child-centered
Supervised Parenting Time Professional
to oversee scheduled parenting time in a safe, supportive, and neutral manner. This is aprivate contract position
requiring strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism.Key Responsibilities
Provide calm, neutral supervision during parenting time Support the parent with
constructive, child-focused suggestions and feedback
Ensure the child's physical and emotional safety throughout the visit Maintain professional boundaries and a positive, structured environment Take clear, factual, objective observational notesTerminate a visit when necessary
due to safety concerns or inappropriate behaviour, including (but not limited to): Emotional or physical risk to the child Impairment or intoxication Escalating conflict, instability, or aggression Breach of agreed-upon expectations Communicate professionally with the hiring parent about scheduling and any concernsIdeal Qualifications
Well-suited for individuals with training or experience in:
Child Development
Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Developmental Aide / Disability Support
Social Work
(including BSW/MSW students)Psychology, counselling, or related human-services fields
Requirements
Experience working with children or families Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills Professional, neutral, and calm under pressure
Must have a current Vulnerable Sector Check
First Aid/CPR is an assetHours & Compensation
8 hours every second Sunday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Experience:
childcare: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
