The Opportunity

The Superintendent, Safety & Health \xe2\x80\x93 Capital Projects will provide leadership and guidance to the field and systems safety advisors regarding technical support, training staff, coordination, development and implementation of the Project\xe2\x80\x99s Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Management System.

Other accountabilities for this role include:

• Develop and implement programs and plans prior to construction and commissioning
• Monitor and audit that contracted integrated team members are complying to the HSER requirements of the projects
• Coaching individuals in the project within the principles and values behind the HomeSafe philosophy and project values
• Audit project compliance and readiness on emergency preparedness (training, knowledge, drills)

About You

Education

• Undergraduate diploma/degree in related field
• CRSP or Equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in similar field
• Construction and project experience
• Mining experience is considered an asset

Skills

• Strong communication, integration, problem solving and inter-personal skills
• Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and provincial regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Excellent attention to detail
