Job Description

Position Summary:



Reporting to the Manager, Operations, the Plant Services Superintendent is accountable for the success of the Sanitation program within the facility.



Key Accountabilities:



Oversee Sanitation Supervisors in achieving their individual goals. Oversee sanitation and coordinate with Pre-Op to ensure facility and equipment are in sanitary condition and be ready for next day start up. Ensure Sanitation program KPIs met by team and communicated across plant. Provide coaching on best practices for Sanitation and Pre-op teams, Supervisors. Communicate with external contractors to manage required staffing. Ensure employee safety and compliance to the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Ensure Quality Compliance with all HACCP procedures. Manage plant laundering and garment requirements through external contractor. Maintain chemical stores, ordering and equipment requirements. Manage SDS binders throughout facility, update as needed. Collaborate with Engineering in early equipment design to ensure the AMI sanitary design principles and good practices are adhered to Conduct investigations independently or collaborate with QA in sanitation and food safety non-compliances incidents Provide backup support to other Superintendents

Qualifications & Experience:



5-7 years leadership experience in a business/manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of change management tools and methodologies. Experience in labor management, cost control, equipment upkeep, and process optimization. Excellent leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive improvements. Experience in GMP, HACCP, BRC, pest control and building management Flexible and ability to work off hours when required.
