The Summer Student, Supply Chain Management (SCM) will support the Supply Chain team on key initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in operational procurement. This role provides exposure to how a large organization manages suppliers, purchase orders, and contracts, and offers practical experience supporting day-to-day supply chain operations.
In this role, you will assist with supplier onboarding and data management activities, support system related initiatives, and help maintain accurate supplier and contract records. You will also provide support to SCM Buyers by completing purchase order-related tasks while enabling the team to focus on priority initiatives. This position offers a strong foundation in supply chain operations and insight into the tools and processes that support effective procurement.
This position is part of ENMAX's 16-week Summer Student Program (2026). ENMAX invests in future talent by providing real project experience and mentorship. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a relevant post-secondary program and returning to school after the summer term.
Major Responsibilities:Support SCM Coordinators with supplier onboarding and maintenance activities, including entering and validating supplier information in procurement systems and assisting with system related initiatives as required Provide support to SCM Buyers by creating purchase orders from requisitions and managing the purchase order process through to close out, including resolving issues as they arise Perform contract administration tasks such as organizing contract files and validating data to support the migration of documents from OpenText to SharePoint Records Management Observe and learn operational procurement processes, and identify opportunities to improve documentation, data quality, or process efficiency while supporting the team

Education Required: Currently enrolled in a Business or related diploma/degree program and returning to full-time studies following the work term.
Qualifications & Experience:Good communication skills for working with both suppliers and internal stakeholders Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (important for data entry and managing purchasing documents) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for record-keeping and reporting Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain concepts (through coursework or experience) Eagerness to learn new tools and systems (experience with any procurement software or databases is an asset)

Salary: Administrator Level B Step 1 - $24.82 / hour based on current CUPE Collective Agreement rates
Location: This role is part of our hybrid work model, with office workspace at ENMAX Place (141 - 50 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
