KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Public Works Department is currently looking for students who enjoy working outside to work in our Solid Waste and Water and Sewer, and Roads and Sidewalks Divisions this summer. Work includes, cart repair and delivery, site clean-up, traffic control, line painting, pot hole patching, and other general labour duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence. You will have to provide a copy of this.
• Experience with equipment, or in an industrial or construction setting considered an asset.
• Please include any labouring experience you may have, either at a workplace, or around your home.
• A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required prior to commencing work
HOURS OF WORK AND RATE OF PAY:
Rate of Pay: $27.45 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
Anticipated Start Date: Between May and July
Hours of work: 40 Hours per week. 8 hour days 5 days a week. Shifts can start as early as 7am and some shifts may be on weekends. Night shifts required for Roads and Sidewalks Division (3am-11am).
