Job description

An exciting chance to work as a member of the Mill Engineering, Reliability and Asset Management group (MERA) at an operating uranium processing facility. Great hands-on engineering opportunity!
Responsibilities include:
Under the direct supervision of the Mill Engineer, the student will be responsible for engineering duties associated with the mill operation and optimization
Duties shall consist of design, material selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mill equipment and supporting facilities
Assist in technical troubleshooting, analysis and inspection of operational equipment
Management of facility changes and supporting documents, completing drawings, quality documents, and mill master data up dates
Other duties as assigned

Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Work Location & Schedule:
McClean Lake
14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Currently enrolled in an engineering program with a preference for Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Process disciplines
Ability to interact with the public and co-workers
Effective oral and written communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing objectives, based on the production requirements of the mill operations and maintenance groups
Position requires a self-starting individual who is enthusiastic and passionate
This position is subject to pre-employment checks including education and criminal record verification.
Drug and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all safety sensitive positions at Orano Canada.
