In Alberta, this includes our MacKay River and Dover oilsands projects, Duvernay Shale Gas and a 50% interest in the Grand Rapids Pipeline. In British Columbia, we hold joint venture interests in the Groundbirch tight gas project and LNG Canada.



PCC is looking for a student to join our Commercial team for a 4-month term starting in May 2026. Based in our Calgary Head Office the student will support the team in their daily activities, lead the development of a market intelligence tool and develop analyses on pre- and post-evaluation of commercial contracts. The student will gain insights into the value chain of oil and gas assets and experience the challenges of commercial deal-making.

Accountabilities



Lead the development of a market intelligence tool + Identify competitors across PCC business lines + Develop easy to use tool and database for PCC to use to track market intelligence across the industry
+ Review, summarize and analyze investor call and financial reports of key partners and competitors
Support the Commercial team in deal activities + Support the PCC commercial team in deal progression (negotiations, internal approvals, etc.) + Support strategic deal prioritization
+ Assist in the development of commercial training program
Build analyses pre- and post-evaluation of contract utilization, including cost/benefit analyses

Qualifications



Currently enrolled in an MBA program (preferred), or in at least 3rd year of a Bachelor of Commerce or similar degree program Strong academic performance as evidenced by GPA Experience with business case studies Prior negotiations training (e.g. university course) considered an asset Prior work experience obtained through internship, co-op or summer jobs is an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of R programming language is an asset Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, handle pressure and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Results oriented problem solver with a positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn Self-starter with an interest in learning PCC's business Legally entitled to work in Canada * Adoption and demonstration of PCC's Values (Honorable, Unified, Passionate, Accountable)
