Reporting to the Supervisor, By-Law Services, the Summer Student, By-Law Services position is responsible for:
• Assist By-law Officers with the enforcement of the Municipality's Parking By-Laws, including parking meter infractions, and prohibited parking infractions.
• Assist By-law Officers with Yard Maintenance and Parking complaints from the public and educate complainants.
• Assist By-law Officers with the response to enquiries, phone calls, complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adhere to high standards of ethical behavior and demonstrate their understanding that their personal actions impact the public's perception of the Municipality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or designate.
Hours:
40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
• Full-time day student at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance the fall of 2025.
• Must have a valid Class G2 or G Driver's License.
Asset Qualifications:
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.
If selected for this role, you will need to provide:
• Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory CRJMC (Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check), at the candidate's own expense.
• Successful reference check (two work-related references, with a minimum of one being a direct supervisor)
• Satisfactory driver's abstract
• Verification of school status
All Summer Students must be full-time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in the fall of 2025.
