Are you a driven and ambitious law student eager to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment? RDM is seeking a couple of talented 1L or 2L students to join our team for the summer of 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world legal work, develop your skills, and catch a glimpse of what it's really like to be a practicing lawyer.

This Opportunity:

This position offers a qualified student the chance to gain invaluable experience in both the practical and administrative aspects of law practice. Here's what you can expect:

Regular meetings with your assigned mentor (typically bi-weekly) are part of the experience, but mentorship doesn't stop there--our entire team of experienced lawyers and support staff is committed to guiding you. We believe in giving our students real responsibility, so you will not be confined to research memos. Instead, you will contribute to work that has a tangible impact. Not only do we regularly bounce ideas and strategy off of each other but we also genuinely like each other too. When we commit to a student, we take that commitment seriously. Our goal is to provide our students with as much responsibility as they can comfortably handle, under the right supervision. This requires a greater investment on our part than simply assigning research and it is why we must limit the number of students we take on, but we have found this investment is worth it--two of our current partners began their careers as summer or articling students with RDM.

Qualifications:

In order to qualify as a summer law student, candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian law school and will have completed at least one year of their program by April 15, 2026.
