About the Opportunity
?aq?am is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic individuals to fill the positions of
?aq?amnik Summer Program Assistants
for the months of July and August
.
The program runs for 7 consecutive weeks from July 7 to August 22, 2025 with potential work for Assistants the week of June 24, 2025. There are multiple temporary positions for full-time, part-time and casual/on-call; daily hours will average 7 to 7.5.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Provide quality childcare as well as plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 6-12 years
Function as a member of our cohesive and cooperative team, which includes staff, parents and community members.
Possess Grade Twelve or equivalent education
Possess a valid First Aid Certificate
Proof of a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
WHIMIS; or willingness to obtain.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Previous experience with early childhood education is an asset.
Hourly wage range from $17 - 25/hour depending on experience and education.
Preference will be given to candidates of Ktunaxa or other Indigenous ancestry and
