In partnership with Service Canada, Progressive Housing Society is recruiting qualified candidates between 15-30 years of age for the Summer Jobs Program 2023 initiative. EMPLOYEE CATEGORY: Full-time Term position \xe2\x80\x93 37.5 Hours per week COMPENSATION: $23.27/hour. QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 Strong foundation in digital marketing as well as knowledge of digital technologies, platforms and services. \xc2\xb7 Individual between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment. \xc2\xb7 Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 6. \xc2\xb7 Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. \xc2\xb7 A valid BC driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes. \xc2\xb7 Successful completion of a criminal record check. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Proactive individual with strong organizational skills and planning skills is essential. \xc2\xb7 Comfortable with various levels of communication and IT. \xc2\xb7 Web design experience considered an asset. \xc2\xb7 Flawless writing skills, strong verbalas well as written communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Strong proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and latest video editing tools. \xc2\xb7 Customer service experience in challenging environments. \xc2\xb7 Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and acute attention to detail. \xc2\xb7 Ability to think quickly and work under pressure. \xc2\xb7 Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity. \xc2\xb7 Comfortable with working with individuals from all cultures and backgrounds as well as with professional groups and businesses. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work flexible hours. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Using various communications initiatives, you will touch all aspects of the organization from program delivery to special events. \xc2\xb7 Nurture and engage with our clients and community, create fresh dialogue, deepen relationships and ultimately grow our reach. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the administration of the society\xe2\x80\x99s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube) to brand standards. \xc2\xb7 Generate social media strategies to grow and engage our online community \xe2\x80\x93 especially our Housing community to find affordable housing solutions. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the planning and facilitation of one major event for clients. \xc2\xb7 Create monthly/daily content calendars and ensure deadlines are met. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the design and completion of the agency AGM Book. \xc2\xb7 Proofread content and make changes where necessary. \xc2\xb7 Perform other related duties as required. HOURS OF WORK: Usually Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. \xe2\x80\x93 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of evening or weekend work Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
