Job Coach: 1 Position (9 Week Duration)
2 Positions (8 Week Duration)
Responsibilities:
- Systematically analyze job tasks and work environments to plan appropriate training, supervision and support.
- Provides transportation and mobility training to and from the work site.
- Observes and records employee job performance and work behaviors for required reports.
- Secures feedback from supervisors and co-workers regarding employee\xe2\x80\x99s job performance.
- Serves as a role model for participants placed into community business settings.
- Ensures employers and participants are satisfied with the working arrangement.
- Communicates progress on job site to coordinators and Summer Program Managers.
- Provides on the job support to 4 students with an intellectual disability that will be working/ volunteering in summer jobs.
- Must be comfortable working in the community adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree with a humanities focus will be considered an asset.
- Canada Summer jobs encourages that youth, ages 15-30 to apply.
- Must have a vehicle for work to travel between work sites.
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence (minimal supervision).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Start date: 1 Position: June 26, 2023 \xe2\x80\x93 August 25, 2023 (9 weeks).
- Start date: 2 Positions: June 26, 2023 - August 18, 2023 (8 weeks).
- Rate of Pay: $14.35/hour (32.50h/wk.) and $0.46/km mileage.
