Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Summer Intern \xe2\x80\x93 Inside Sales Trainee at our Hamilton, ON location. The selected candidate will be part of our Applied Scholarship Program.

We are seeking dedicated students who are interested in building a lasting relationship with us by returning year over year for Summer terms with the ultimate goal of employment after graduation.

As part Applied\xe2\x80\x99s Scholarship Program, at the end of each successful term the selected student will receive a scholarship award for their hard work. Upon returning each year and successfully completing a subsequent term, that award will increase in value!

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The overall purpose of the role Inside Sales Trainee is to develop technical knowledge of Applied\xe2\x80\x99s product offering in areas such as bearings, belts, gaskets, sheaves, bushings, roller chains, adaptors, etc and to develop proficiency in our end to end sales processes. They will play an integral role in helping our customers Achieve Superior Performance!

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Develop sound understanding of Applied\xe2\x80\x99s processes, product offerings, clients, and markets
• Respond to customer inquiries (walk-in, phone, and email)
• Enter and process orders in SAP
• Monitor and track orders through the systems
• Help put stock away and assist with cycle counts
• Other tasks as required
