Mxe2x80x99akola Housing Society (Mxe2x80x99akola) is looking for one (1) Summer Event Coordinator to join the team for the summer to plan and execute fun events all over the province! You will be barbecuing for tenants, playing games with the children, and driving to various locations.Position SummaryReporting to the Senior Director of Housing Operations (SDHO), the Summer Event Coordinator will be responsible for the Mxe2x80x99akola Summer Tenant Appreciation Event program by creating, preparing, and executing exciting events in each region across the province. The Summer Tenant Appreciation Event program is intended to celebrate the community in which we serve, show appreciation to our tenants, and get to know our tenants on a personal level. The Summer Event Coordinator will be responsible for connecting with tenants directly to determine what kind of event they would appreciate, creating a plan, and making it happen!This position is a temporary, 3-month term starting June 2, 2025, until August 29, 2025, for a student currently enrolled in a college or university course. The schedule is Monday xe2x80x93 Friday, 8:30am xe2x80x93 4:00pm based out of the Head Office in Langford when not travelling. This positionxe2x80x99s wage is $21.00 per hour.Requirements

  • Currently attending a post-secondary institution
  • Experience in an office environment is an asset
  • Experience providing direct customer service to the public is an asset
  • Willing to acquire Level 1 first aid and Food Safe certificate (reimbursed by Mxe2x80x99akola)
  • Experience in and with the Indigenous community would be an asset
Other
  • Must have access to a vehicle and a Class 5 driverxe2x80x99s license
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check upon selection
