Summer/ Co-op Student Positions

The City of West Kelowna is seeking enthusiastic and motivated students to join our team for the summer term. These positions provide valuable hands-on experience in municipal operations and services, offering an opportunity to contribute to your community while developing practical skills.
Student positions are available in the following departments:
Engineering Planning Utilities Parks Recreation & Culture Roads & Construction Water Supply & Treatment
Requirements include but are not limited to:
Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution Must be attending college or university during the last school term and returning to studies in the subsequent academic year Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Excellent communication/interpersonal skills - verbal and written A Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License; Drivers Abstract required when applying (Class 7 also accepted).
The students will work either from May until end of August for 4 month positions, or May until the end of December for the 8 month co-op student positions. Hours of work range from 35 to 40 hours/week depending on the department. The hourly rate ranges from $20.23 - $25.29 plus 14% in lieu pay.
