COOKSMART offers hands-on cooking and nutrition programs for children across the GTA. Our summer camps combine cooking, food literacy, outdoor games, art, science, gardening, and social-emotional learning. We're looking for enthusiastic, organized leaders who love working with kids and want to make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview
Supervisors oversee the daily operations of a COOKSMART camp location. This is a leadership role responsible for staff coordination, camper safety, program delivery, and ensuring the COOKSMART philosophy is upheld throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily camp operations to ensure smooth delivery of cooking lessons, activities, transitions, and outdoor time
Support Program Leaders with lesson delivery, pacing, and activity set-ups
Manage camper groups, rotations, schedules, and behaviour support
Communicate professionally with parents; handle questions and concerns
Ensure all safety, allergy, and food-handling protocols are followed by staff and campers
Delegate tasks clearly to Program Leaders and Counsellors
Ensure equipment, food, and materials are organized and ready each day
Foster a positive, inclusive, team-oriented work environment
Model leadership, professionalism, and calm decision-making
Support aftercare coverage when scheduled
Requirements
Minimum one year experience leading groups of children in activities (camps, coaching, teaching, etc.)
Ability to cook and bake a variety of dishes with confidence
Experience supervising staff or leading children's programs
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Education or enrollment in Education, ECE, Recreation, Child Development, or related fields (asset)

Schedule
May-June:
flexible scheduling for training and workshops
July-August:
Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts
Weekends occasionally as needed (rare)
