Duties

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow during service hours. Train and mentor team members on cooking techniques, food safety standards, and customer service practices. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels. Oversee cash handling processes, including managing the POS system and ensuring accurate transactions. Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team. Collaborate with management to develop menus, specials, and promotional events to enhance customer experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the kitchen or restaurant environment. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Proficient in using POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in cooking or culinary arts is highly desirable but not mandatory.
