Overview

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute educators to join our team. This role involves stepping into classrooms on an as-needed basis to support teachers and ensure a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in educational settings, and the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Qualifications

BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certification or BC Early Childhood Educator Certification and First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

Provide instruction and support to Infant and Toddler aged children in the absence of regular teachers Follow daily plans provided by the regular teacher or develop engaging activities when plans are not available Maintain classroom discipline and foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Assist with classroom management, transitions, and activities to promote participation and learning Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as needed Uphold centre policies and procedures, including safety protocols and confidentiality standards

Requirements

Prior Early Childhood experience or background in early childhood education is preferred Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a child care environment Reliable transportation and availability to work on short notice as needed A genuine passion for supporting children's educational growth and well-being
