Job Description




Reporting directly to the Subcontracts Manager, you will establish and maintain subcontracts, monitor supplier performance, and support operational execution. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment with advanced communication skills and will have a strong knowledge of contracting.

This will be a permanent position based out of our Calgary corporate office, on a hybrid working schedule.

What would you be doing?

  • Subcontract formation, negotiation, and execution, within required parameters and deadlines.
  • Initiating Amending Agreements and subcontract renewals.
  • Ensure subcontracts are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies, and SCM P2P policy.
  • Engage key stakeholders to ensure monitoring and management of supplier relationships, performance, change orders, and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Track and report subcontractor management and performance metrics to support project success, including compliance with all provincial insurance and WCB requirements.
  • Perform close out of subcontracts; finalize outstanding contract issues, final invoices and Subcontractor performance.
  • Maintain contractual records and documentation.
  • Understand and mitigate risk within subcontract agreements.
  • Manage supplier relationships effectively and collaboratively drive continuous improvement.
Does this sound like you?
  • You will bring a minimum of 5 years of related contract administration, preferably in the oil & gas energy services industry.
  • Related post-secondary education required in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Capability to understand and mitigate commercial risk, liability and legal terms and conditions.
  • Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgement, and work collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to focus decision making on overall risk and business impact.
  • Exceptional ability to create and maintain accurate and organized documentation.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office suite of products.
