Job Overview:

Harbour City Kitchens is currently looking for independent contractors who are responsible for installing customized cabinets and woodwork into client's homes and new build condo/apartments. You will be responsible for filing deficiency reports and reporting any missing pieces or incomplete jobs to the Service Department, all while ensuring that clients are satisfied with their installation upon completion.

Responsibilities and Duties

Professionally install pre-assembled and custom kitchen cabinets, countertops, crown moldings, and accent woodwork in client homes, offices, and multi-unit developments. Read and interpret plans and drawings to ensure precise and accurate installations. Receive and complete work orders provided by the service department. Perform custom fitting of detailed crown and accent moldings to meet client specifications. Handle service calls to repair damages, fix mistakes, and ensure client satisfaction. Coordinate with the service department to report material shortages, replacements, and deficiencies. Communicate with contractors to address discrepancies related to plumbing, electrical, or structural issues. Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and expenses for billing and submit them to the service team. Maintain a clean and organized work environment during and after installations. Comply with all safety protocols and WorkSafeBC standards.

Qualifications

:

Previous cabinet installation experience is required

, with proficiency in carpentry and custom cabinet fitting. Ability to read and work according to detailed plans and drawings. Equipped with all necessary tools to complete cabinet installation jobs. Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and installing cabinetry, including tall and heavy pieces (up to 50 lbs). Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle for transporting materials to job sites. Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities. Problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges effectively. Installers must provide their own safety gear and adhere to WorkSafeBC guidelines. Provide their own WorkSafe BC coverage
