New Format Studio is a decorative metalworking studio - think welding shop with an eye for design.

We are hiring for a Studio Fabricator/Metalworker. The successful applicant will be hardworking, enthusiastic, willing to learn and interested in creating high quality work in a creative environment.

The expectations of the Studio Fabricator are:

Responsibilities and Duties

-reading the drawings, and understanding the expectations for the project

-fabricating the product - MIG and TIG welding, fitting, bending, forming, grinding, and other fabrication techniques. We are looking for a fabricator comfortable working with steel.

-working solo or in collaboration with other team members as necessary to create efficient workflow

-preparing the product for finishing - conducting quality control based on the established expectations

Qualifications and Skills

Good knowledge of metalworking & how to fabricate components and structures from it

Good knowledge of hand and power tools

Welding experience - we primarily use TIG welding with MIG welding as a second option

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
