THE COMPANY
Our client, a dynamic firm specializing in working with architecture and design, is currently seeking a Studio Manager/Lead to oversee the day to day operations and to be an integral part of the company\'s leadership team. This firm is well established with a diverse portfolio of work across Eastern Canada. This position would suit a talented professional with an architectural background and a good knowledge of building envelope, to step into additional responsibility managing a group, and who has a strong portfolio of commercial work behind them.

THE JOB
In this role you will manage staffing levels of a mid sized studio and be involved in business development initiatives and proposals. You will review project work for technical excellence, on time delivery and financial success whilst providing input through various phases. As a Studio Lead you will review operation budget, financials and strategy, and work with senior leadership to ensure studio profitability.
You will also provide leadership, direction and mentorship to staff and perform administrative, recruitment and HR duties. This is a dynamic role with changing responsibilities based on a variety of projects coming through the studio.

WHAT\'S REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 15 years\' experience in the industry with at least 10 years experience working in more of a supervisory role
  • Related post-secondary education in architecture with solid experience in architecture behind you (have worked either as a technologist, designer, architect or similar)
  • Registration with an architectural provincial association is an asset
  • Knowledge in engineering systems is an asset
  • Prior experience in project management, project delivery, client management and staff management/leadership
  • Strong project management abilities, able to work with financials, budgets and scheduling
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and time management
