The Student Voice Coordinator is responsible for providing advice and guidance from the youth perspective to the Executive Director of the First Nation School Board (FNSB) and FNSB Trustees. This position is an integral part of the FNSB governance model, empowering youth to have a voice with the School Board trustees and staff, The Chiefs Committee on Education (CCOE), and across FNSB public schools. Please apply if you enjoy working with youth, building relationships, travelling to communities, and have a keen interest in engaging youth in governance matters, training and national leadership opportunities, communications projects including social media, photography and newsletter reporting, conferences, councils and all other opportunities that will build skills and capacity in the areas that youth request. Based in Whitehorse, Yukon, on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin D\xc3\xbcn First Nation and the Ta\xe2\x80\x99an Kw\xc3\xa4ch\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa4n Council, the First Nation School Board (FNSB) was established in February 2022. Board run schools are for all Yukon students and aim to promote reconciliation by enhancing a Yukon First Nations model that puts the students first, through a strengths-based, community-centered approach, grounded in localized culture and language.
