The successful applicant will be responsible for:Conducting literature reviews and information syntheses; Developing and circulating the call for research participants; Communicating with school principals and students (potential participants) regarding participation in the study; Assisting principal investigator (PI) with scheduling and conducting research interviews; Transcribing and editing Zoom video interviews; Assisting researcher with analyzing transcripts; Writing research reports and summaries; Assisting PI with developing teacher workshops; and Presenting locally on research results.
Position Requirements
The successful applicant will:Be a current graduate student at the University of Regina, with preference for students enrolled in a MEd in the Faculty of Education; Experience with qualitative research procedures, including interviewing and analyzing qualitative data an asset; Experience with K-12 mathematics, STEM education, critical and culturally responsive pedagogies, and/or minoritized/marginalized learning communities; Have strong academic reading and writing skills; Be independent and self-motivated to accomplish work as discussed with, and assigned by, the PI; and Have proficiency and expertise in American Psychological Association (APA) format.
Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
It is expected that the student will work for approximately 80 hours for the duration of the contract.
