About Landmark East School

Landmark East is an independent co-ed day and boarding school for students with learning differences located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, a small university town nestled in the Annapolis Valley. The student base is diverse with learners who have a diagnosed learning difference such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder, etc. Landmark East School is committed to student-centered learning, small class sizes, daily physical activity, and diverse pedagogy.

Position Summary

As a member of the Student Life Team, you are responsible for helping to develop and lead evening and weekend recreation activities for boarding students in Grades 7-12. Student Recreation Leaders must also be prepared and able to supervise, assist, and ensure the safety and enjoyment of students in a variety of other school and community situations including but not limited to: study hall, student residences, weekend settings, school vehicles, and activities.

Education, Training, and Experience

Experience working with youth in a school/recreational/coach setting Experience leading sports and recreation activities is a must Currently enrolled in or completed a college or university level program Valid Driver's License Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Current certification for Emergency First Aid or willing to obtain Mental Health First Aid is considered an asset
