The Project Risk Management team within the Downstream & Midstream Projects group has an excellent opportunity for Student, Project Risk Management to assist the Project Risk Management team responsible for integrated project risk management process across Cenovus Downstream & Midstream portfolio. Key pieces of the role include assist Project Risk Management team in facilitating risk assessment, coordinate risk reviews, follow up with project team and contractors to collate risk updates for risk reporting and communication. The successful candidate will be a great teammate, highly organized, energetic, and work well in a fast-paced project management environment that requires taking initiative and managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Risk Management team in supporting the risk management process across Cenovus Downstream & Midstream portfolio.

Provide support in preparation and facilitation of risk assessment workshops.

Support the maintenance and updates of risk registers for individual projects.

Engage and follow up with project teams on risk statuses, risk rankings and mitigation activities.

Assist with risk integration and aggregation process and aggregated project risk register updates.

Provide general support towards ongoing COIMS activities, as they relate to project risk management, specifically COIMS Element 3.

Assist with the updates of risk management content on the PME website, SharePoint and Power BI Risk Dashboard.

Support reporting activities of the Project Risk Management team, including monthly risk updates on the SharePoint site.

Develop safety and diversity moments in business-related safety and diversity presentations.

Sharing part of the daily workload as required.

Qualifications

Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in January, 2024

Competencies/ Skills

The individual is self-motivated and proactive to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and project requirements.

Possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of Power BI software is considered a strong assist

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Education

Must be enrolled in an Engineering or Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a master\xe2\x80\x99s or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

A valid Canadian class 5 Driver\'s License with no restrictions (i.e., non GDL) is a requirement for this role
