Student Opticians currently studying Opticianry in Georgian College, Seneca College etc. are welcome to apply for co-op placement or optical experience.

Responsibilities:
-Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses (Soft and RGPs)

-Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction

-Educate customers on frames, lens options and lens enhancements

-Take accurate measurements and adjust frames to ensure proper fit

-Process orders and maintain accurate records of customer transactions

-Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment

-Maintain inventory of frames, contact lenses, and other optical supplies

-Keep the optical area clean and organized

-Help with pre-testing patients (auto-refraction, NCT, lensometry, visual field) and imaging (topography, OCT, retinal camera)

Skills:
- Strong retail sales skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Prior sales experience, preferably in the optical industry is a plus
- Knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Understanding of medical terminology related to eye care
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and adjustments
