TEMPORARY WORK - May to September 2025

Part Time Work Available Through Mid-November 2025

STUDENT MARINA ATTENDANT, OUTER HARBOUR MARINA

Students are needed. This position would suit an individual who enjoys being in the outdoors and who enjoys


being part of a team. It is a temporary position. Work is scheduled in shifts between the hours of 0700 - 2200


hours, consisting of full-time and part-time hours.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning and maintenance of washrooms and offices. Grounds-keeping including weeding flowerbeds, cutting lawns, picking up litter, emptying garbage and
recycling containers.
Fuelling of boats, pumping out holding tanks, and selling sundry items at the gas dock. Performing dock-walks to check vacancies of berths. Answering the telephone and in-person inquiries about the services provided by the Outer Harbour
Marina.
Providing a high-level of exceptional client service to our guests. Must comply with all PortsToronto policies and procedures including Health and Safety policies, SOPs,
procedures, and legislated requirements.
Must wear designated safety equipment/PPE as required. Any other duties that may be assigned by PortsToronto.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled full-time in a Post-Secondary Institution. Possession of G2 or higher Driver's License, must have own transportation to work location. Note that
work location is not accessible by public transportation.
Possession of a Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification is an asset. Possession of CSA certified safety boots. Able to swim and tread water for 2 minutes is strongly recommended. Able to lift up to 25 Kgs (50 Lbs.) floor to waist. Fluency in English. Ability to communicate in French is a definite asset. Must be professional, neat in dress and appearance.

Job Location: 475 Unwin Avenue (foot of Leslie Street)

Wage Rate

: $19.24 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
