Job Details
Position Title: Facilitator, Student Life (2 positions)
Status: TPT
Hours: 24/week
Faculty/Department: Student Success & Engagement
Campus/Location: North/Lakeshore Campus
Salary: $18.44/hour
What you will do:
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and the overall operation of the First Year Experience (FYE) & Orientation program. Primary responsibilities, in conjunction with the Coordinator, Student Life, will include the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the First Year Experience/Orientation program; recruitment and training of the Senior Peer Mentors and Volunteer Mentors; recruitment of and programming for first year student mentees. Other duties, in conjunction with the Coordinator, Student Life, will include the coordination and scheduling of retention programming; the evaluation and further development of retention programs. The position will also support students and staff in their execution of duties for student life programming.

Education
The successful candidate will possess a two-year diploma in a related field or equivalent.
Skills
The incumbent will have a minimum of 1 year experience as a student working/volunteering in multiple leadership roles, or in role(s) of increasing responsibility. Any experience above para-professional, is an asset. Candidate will have demonstrated involvement in diversity and inclusion activities; as well as experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
