Duration: September 2, 2025- December 24, 2025
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Head Librarian or Head Library Clerk, the student assists with the delivery of Library services during peak periods. Duties include circulating materials of various formats, answering basic inquiries from users, preparing items for circulation, participate in shifting projects and contributing to the processing and organizing of library materials. May be required to open and/or close the library and perform emergency evacuation procedures. Performs other supplementary tasks as assigned.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly transmit and receive information. Must be user-focused and service-oriented. Demonstrated ability to cope with physical requirements: handling, carrying and lifting of library materials. Previous library or similar experience preferred. English: spoken, read and written. French: spoken and read. McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
