The Enterprise Operations Internship will provide the student with exposure to core TMX business units, supporting the market data and equities trading operations teams on a 2 month rotational basis. The Intern will be involved in replacing a number of manual and resource intensive processes with client-facing services that use technology to digitize workflows. The specific focus areas will have a direct impact on the digitization of the client experience across the Enterprise Operations team. The Intern will have an opportunity to redefine and enhance processes that facilitate client access through market data subscription and entitlement services, along with strengthening trading support capabilities through our digital portals and tools.

Key Accountabilities:

Engage clients and Market Data Vendors to discuss and collect feedback on proposed digital workflow enhancements.

Build relationships with clients, Market Data Vendors, Trading Participants and other TMX business units on topics such as digital platforms and web portals.

Collaborate with the Sales and Product Management teams to implement process improvements and execute on tactical operations initiatives.

Documentation of current business processes and procedures.

Collaborate with the team to support system integration and business process improvement projects as defined by the management team.

Identify gaps in information flow and assist in redesigning processes by applying technology and automation.

Delivering dashboards and tools which enable enhanced visibility into key client support and operational metrics.

Prepare communications,document new product summaries and support enhancements to the client portal.

Assist equities trading and market data professionals in providing first class customer support and troubleshooting issues for clients.

Analyze market data information to determine trends and revenue gaps.

Must haves:

Passion for leveraging and interpreting data to drive significant business impact.

Critical thinking skills to recognize patterns and anomalies in data and arrive at new conclusions based upon findings.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize projects with conflicting deadlines.

Demonstrated passion for capital markets.

A team player with the ability and desire to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Enrolled in a post secondary institution with a preferred focus in Computer Science, Finance, Business, equivalent experience OR demonstrated analytical and technical ability.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.

  • Role is hybrid (2 -3 days in Toronto office)

Web UX/UI design best practices

Experience with Tableau

Working knowledge of the Market Data industry.

Comfortable with web based service providers such as Salesforce, Workday

Experience working in a data driven digital sales & marketing environment.
