DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Simcoe County Museum's Education staff in conducting school programming in May and June.

Assist the Simcoe County Museum's Education staff in the daily operation of the Summer Day Camp.

Support our mandate of preserving and interpreting County history.

Support our Museum mission of providing high quality service to local community and visiting tourists.

Provide a quality day camp experience for children.

Promote the Simcoe County Museum and our programs by attending and supporting local community events and attending out of area events.

Interest and train youth in the Museum field.

Develop programming, research, create props, prepare material and organize activities for the camps.

Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

Experience working with children would be considered an asset.

Experience working within a Museum environment would be considered an asset.

Driver's License with access to a vehicle.

History/Social Science background would be an asset.

Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel would be an asset.

Must be willing to wear historic costumes.

Be able to work some weekends, as necessary.

Criminal Records Check with that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire required
